4 Things You Can Do Today to Fuel Your Company Culture

Your company culture is important. It’s what fuels your employees, it’s your filter through which you run potential employees, and it’s your reason to keep doing what you’re doing. But how do you find – and maintain – a positive company culture?

According to Gallup, only 31% of employees are engaged at work. That means lost productivity and, ultimately, unhappy workers. Keeping your employees happy, engaged, and supported pushes them to ultimate productivity and creates a solid company culture.

Here are some simple things you can start doing today to start fueling your company culture:

  • Encourage. Encourage positive results with positive incentives. Encourage communication and teamwork by providing open work environments and opportunities for employees to collaborate.
  • Engage. Talk with your employees. Find out what they enjoy and what they don’t. You can even go a step further and engage with them outside of work. Get to know them on a more personal level in order to encourage them to open up and feel comfortable and valued at work.
  • Review. Employees love being updated. A good employee wants to know that they’re a good employee and what makes them valuable to the company. They also want to know what they can do to improve their work and bring more to the company. Review with each of your employees at least monthly in order to keep them updated and bring anything necessary to their attention.
  • Include. Include your employees (yes, all of them) in company decisions and updates. This doesn’t mean invite your entire company to leadership meetings, but it does mean being open to ideas from everyone, and encouraging them to speak up when they have an idea.

We believe our team is the heart of what we do. We don’t just work together; we win together, we celebrate together, and we get better together. Why is that important? We believe you can see this in our work and our results, and we’re a better company because of it.
